RU-1st Fridays

RU-1st is excited to announce April's RU-1st Friday we are hosting a community service event in partnership with Rutgers Against Hunger! RSVP Here to participate in a food packaging event!

March's RU-1st Friday was a Professional Development Boot Camp focused on:

  •  Writing Effective Resumes and Cover Letters
  • Creating a Job Search Strategy and Elevator Pitch
  •  Interview Skills and Appropriate Attire
  •  Personal Branding

February's RU-1st Friday was an off-campus trip to NYC to see the Broadway musical A Bronx Tale with a predeparture meeting focused on available university resources and getting a chance to meet other fellow students. See pictures below from the event!

Our December RU-1st Friday "Paint 'N' Sip" night focusing on preparing for finals and stress management techniques with the Learning Centers, followed by a paint party was at full capacity!

RU-1ST Fridays are held the first Friday of each month throughout the academic year. RU-1st Fridays creates social and emotional spaces where historically underrepresented students commune, connect with faculty and staff who serve as mentors, discuss topics of professional and political relevance, develop interpersonal skills, or attend a special trip. RU-1st Fridays are open to all Rutgers University -New Brunswick undergraduate students.
